Skin Care Routine Updated (day)

Hi Beauty viewers! Hope everyone is having a great week.
I love to put makeup and play with the rainbow of colors, but you don't hate when you see a pimple or irritation on your skin! It happens to me a lot -_-' I have combination and acne-prone skin, which means I need to take care of my face, otherwise I get really bad break-outs.
The key to a healthy skin is not only the skin care routine, also your diet, way of living (stress, etc.), so there are many factors that are involve in the equation and I can bet most of the time you can't really control all of them. However, we can try to adjust them or make the best of it.
Basic rules:
  • Eat healthy as much as you can (food rich in antioxidant which helps to prevent sun damage and anti-aging)
  • Drink a loooooot of water! It's important to hydrate your skin inside and out
  • Keep a skin care routine for your skin type
  • Do some workout, etc.
Of course now a days, like I mentioned before, is hard to keep track of this regimens and more, but we can just try little by little or one at a time (I myself do just 50% of the list -_-')
All of the above is just general information or simple ideas you can adapt to your daily life not only for a better healthy skin, but general healthy life.
What I really want to share with you today, is the skin care routine I do on a daily basis and hopefully will give you ideas mostly using drugstore products, if you can get your hand in high end brands good for you! I always try to take advantage of the more accessible brands and some drugstore brands have really good products.
My routine is quite simple, this is what i use:

  • L'Oréal Paris Go 360 Clean Deep Cream Cleanser
  • Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub Facial Scrub
  • Neutrogena Deep Clean toner for combination to oily skin
  • Loreal Paris HYDRAFRESH light gel moisturizer
  • Olay age defying anti-wrinkle eye cream
  • Milk of Magnesia Phillips Original

I know it does sounds like a lot, but this had help me control my oily skin and acne issues.
I will go deep into each product in different posts and so far I already have the Loreal Paris HYDRAFRESH light gel moisturizer if you are interested in reading it.
I clean my face twice a day (using all these products) and that is my personal formula, at night I use mostly the same items but the Loreal gel moisturizer, instead I use Olay anti-aging anti wrinkle night cream and that's it.

The cleanser is great for tropical weather, summer time and combination oily skin, depending on your skin type, use it once or twice a day (day and night), not more than that. The buffing brush with soft plastic bristles helps to clean my pores even more. Definitely NOT for normal to dry skin!!

The facial scrub was created for daily use (not all facial scrubs are created for that same purpose, it can be use for only once, twice a week or so, it really depends on you skin type) and I need to exfoliate every day, to maintain my pores clean and free of dead skin, letting the new skin rise to the surface and breath.

The Deep Clean toner, get rid of any makeup or dirt left over and tightens my skin nicely, leaving a fresh feeling on my face.

Finally my skin is ready to moisturize and for my skin type, I use the loreal light gel HYDRAFRESH.

I leave my skin 10-20 mnts (if possible) with the moisturizer, so my skin can absorb all the nutrients and then finally apply a light to medium coat of milk of magnesia with a makeup sponge, to control the excess of oil in my skin and to reduce the redness of my actively acne in the moment.

And that is it. It does sound like a lot of steps, but you get use to it and is really worth it.

Any question leave them below, hope you guys have a great day! Bye!!

PS: I almost forgot to mentioned, I purchase all of these products on my local drugstore Arrocha, for those who live in pty.
