Skin Care Routine Updated (day) Part 5 Milk of Magnesia a GREAT MATTIFIER FOR OILY SKIN!

Hi Beauties! As promised, this is my last item of my Skin Care Routine Updated. And, I bet, the one everyone is  waiting for...probably people are like...what the heck?! Milk of Magnesia?? Is that gal craza!! LOL
Well, let me tell you guys, Milk of Magnesia is not so unknow in the beauty community.
Milk of Magnesia is use in medicine as a laxative, I know, most of you will say now ...ewww!! But it does has a science behind and it does works!

Most people use it as a mattifier, which this is a tips ONLY for OILY SKIN! For those with dry and sensitive skin is really NOT recommended, because the puspose of this product is to mattify or absorbed the excess of oily in your face, which make it super dry for dry skin people. For dry skin, just apply a good amount of gel base moisturizer and you are good to go.
The main ingredient here is the Magnesium hydroxide:  is a saline laxative which attracts or absorbs water and salt, so if you have exccess of oil (which usually is combine with water and salt) it will help you to control it and to purify it too. Remember this is an inflamation reliever, that means, it will work perfect for you pimple, it will decrease the inflamation of the pimple and the redness.

The way I use it?

  • After my moisturizer (wait up to 20mnts, so my skin can absorb the moisturizer completely), I apply a thin oat with a makeup sponge all over my face (shake bottle weel first).
  • Let it dry and wyou get the same feeling as a calamine cream, it tightens your skin.
  • If you have any white streaks, just rub it with your clean fingers till smooth out.
  • After that you are ready to apply your makeup.
You can do it before your moisturizer or after, it really depends on you. I do it before my moisturizer, because after all the cleaning my skin gets dry enough and needs moisture and after letting my skin absorbs the product well, then is when my extra oils comes to the surface, so then I appply the MoM to control the excess of oil, but you can try in a different way and creat your own formula.

For pimples, you can just apply a thin layer at night, before bed.

That's it guys. Pretty simple. If you have experience the use of MoM, please leave a comment!

Another extra steps I take is using a face mask once to 2 times (Queen Helene The Original Mint Julep Masque) a week and once a week I use Biore Noise and Face strips, to clean deap you pores from dirt, etc.

See you in the next post! Bye!
