Hello my beauty viewers!
I am sure, this have happened at least once to all of you (if have not, you are lucky!) "Oh My God! Noo!! My favorite shadows broke!" :(
Well, here I bring you a simple way to restore you shadow.

What you will need:

Depending on the shadow packaging, you'll need to get an object that has the same or at least almost the same size and dimensions (which usually is not that easy!:S). In this case, I found a Balboa coin, which is equal to US$1.00, which fits perfectly!

You'll also need a 70% alcohol, which works as a bonding agent and to disinfect.

A knife or sharped object to break up the shadow into fine dust.

A spoon or something to drop the alcohol with.

Una toalla limpia, sueter o pañuelo.

Aclean towel or cloth.

First, we break up the shadow to a point of becoming a fine dust.

Aquí vemos el resultado.

Here is how it will look like.

Con la toalla, envuelve la moneda firmemente.

With the cloth or towel, wrapped upthe coin and tighting it up.

Como ven aquí.

It should look like this.

Add some of the alcohol on tip of the coin, which is the one you are going to use to pressed the shadow, to disinfect and to avoid the shadow to trnasfer on the towel.

Use the spoon to take some of the alcohol and drop it on the shadow to blend, the shadow should look like a paste.

The alcohol make is easy to work with the shadow at the moment to be pressed onto the container. And since the alcohol is volatile, it dries fast and does not alter the formula of the shadow.

Press the shadow againt the container firm and tight and keep pressure between 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Next, gently remove the coin to verify if the shadow had been restore correctly.

As you can see the shadow took the texture of the towel, so if you want it to look exaxctly like the other ones, use a cloth that has a smooth surface.

Y ya tienes tu sombra restaurada!

And you are done! Your shadow had been restored it!

Solo limpia alrededor y esta como nueva!

Just clean up the edges and let it dry completely and you are done!

Abrazos!

To check if the shadow was correctly restored, you can just face it upside down, as you can see on the picture, the shadow doesn't fall, is very well pressed.

Hope this blog post was helpful, this is an old trick and I am sure maybe you all knew it by now, but is always good to go back to the basics.
How do you guys do to restore your favorites shadows? Hugs!
